Don't call her who?
“I will love you endlessly…till I let you go. Till the earth bleeds out my eyes, past the end of my life. I know you know, I will love you endlessly.”
From creation, Don’t Call Me Lizz has embedded music and art into her livelihood. In an almost holy sense, Lizz Valdez, the leading musician, is passionate and committed to her art. Driven by pure, raw emotion, her music is an homage to those who hold a heavy heart. Don’t Call Me Lizz is an artist based on transparency. She invites you to view her soul through the looking glass and encourages her listeners to explore their own.
Her debut single “Sixteen” was released in September 2023. Working as an independent artist, she specializes in alternative-pop-rock writing and audio production styles. However, that does not stop her from exploring multi-genre, modal sounds. Her lyrics are thought-provoking, the music is entrancing, and at the core of it all is a girl who wants her story told.
Don’t Call Me Lizz is currently recording her debut LP titled “One Last Look, But Don’t Look Back.” Including “Sixteen”, the 10-track LP contains a collection of stories spanning several years of Lizz’s growth and human experience. Themes such as illness, grief, heartache, anger, and adolescence are all widely explored throughout the project.
In the spring of 2025, Lizz Valdez founded, performed, and executively produced the student-led Twenty One Pilots Ensemble at Berklee College of Music. Through rigorous auditions, direction, and curating a live production, the Twenty One Pilots Ensemble successfully produced two shows. She currently holds the role of manager for the group. Her entire life, Lizz Valdez has been a passionate performer. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Valdez grew up with classic and alternative rock influences along with powerful voices. Artistic influences include names like Death Cab for Cutie, Twenty-One Pilots, Radiohead, Phoebe Bridgers, and many more. With 10+ years of experience and a Professional Music degree from Berklee College of Music, Lizz Valdez values the privilege of being an artist. She is currently based in Boston, MA, and is always open to new work and friends!
